Abstract
Amico Bignami, neuropathologist and neuroscientist, professor of Neuro pathology at Harvard Medical School, died on August 5, 1994. He is bes t known for his pioneering work on spongiform encephalopathies and int ermediate filaments, in particular glial fibrillary acidic protein (GF AP).
