Abstract
The infrared spectrum of SrI2 in the gas-phase has been measured. The Sr-I asymmetric stretching vibration upsilon(3) has been found at 200 cm(-1). This value is in reasonable agreement with earlier values deri ved from estimation or ab initio methods.
