The structure of micromycete complexes in rhizosphere and nodules of a
lder of different age, growing in soddy-podzolic soil and perlite, was
studied. Three months after Frankia inoculation, the nodules did not
contain fungi, but micromycetes were found in 1- and 5-year-old seedli
ngs. A specific character of the micromycete complex of alder actinorh
izal nodules was demonstrated. The members of this complex are practic
ally not isolated from soil, rhizosphere, and perlite.
