Abstract
The crystal structure of 6(C2H7ClN)[PbCl6]2Cl consists of discrete [Pb Cl6]4- octahedra and Cl- anions to which the ClCH2CH2NH3+ cations are hydrogen bonded. Due to intramolecular hydrogen bonding, the cations a dopt conformations with N-C-C-Cl torsion angles ranging from 59.4 (6) to 72.4 (6)-degrees.
