Abstract
The characterization of trans-3-hydroxy-N-methyl-L-proline, isolated f rom Tamarix ramosissima, as its hydrochloride salt, C6H12NO3+.Cl-, is reported. The carboxylate group occupies a position trans to the hydro xyl substituent.
