Abstract
Primary renal aspergillosis is an extremely rare entity. Only 19 cases have been reported, 3 of them in patients with AIDS. We report one ne w case of renal aspergillosis in a patient with AIDS. His disease patt ern was multiple bilateral renal abscesses with a normal excretory pat h way. The treatment established was percutaneous drainage and systemi c antifungal drugs. He had a bad evolution and died 14 weeks after dia gnosis. In the previously reported cases of aspergillosis in patients with AIDS, the manifestation was unilateral renal abscess.
