Abstract
Add-on therapy with flunitrazepam (FNZ) was performed in 5 children wi th marked sleep disturbance and intractable seizures. Correction of th e sleep disturbance was attained immediately after the start of FNZ ad ministration in all patients. Furthermore, a significant decrease in t he seizure frequency (3 patients) and improved quality of life (4 pati ents) were concomitantly observed, There was no adverse effect or inte raction with conventional AEDs on long-term use.
