Abstract
The atrium roof of the $58 million Mobile County (Ala.) Government Pla za, which opened in November 1994, has nine double-bow trusses spannin g 140 ft and two triangular modified Warren trusses spanning 240 ft. T his visually stunning one-of-a-kind structure did not come without its share of engineering challenges.
