Abstract
Liquid-liquid equilibrium data of partially miscible systems of water- butanol-salt and water-butanone-salt were experimentally measured. The salts used were sodium chloride, potassium chloride and potassium bro mide. The saturation density method used in this work to determine the composition of the phases is elaborated. The Chen model is used to co rrelate the equilibrium data and the results are discussed.
