Abstract
We describe the occurrence of an intraparenchymal (thalamic) haemorrah age during a stress test in a hypertensive 52-year-old man who had suf fered from myocardial infarction 3 months earlier. Common causes of sp ontaneous haemorrhage, such as arteriovenous malformation, aneurysms, neoplasm, bleeding disorders or vasculitis were excluded. This single neurological complication was observed from among 8000 exercise tests performed in our Institute from 1987 to 1993.
