mi (NRT) in the Rhesus monkey combined with postembedding immunoctoche
mistry with anti-GABA antibody resulted in double labeling of a distin
ct population of synaptic boutons in the thalamic nuclei of the anteri
or group as well as laterodorsal and mediodorsal nuclei. EM analysis o
f the labeled terminals in the anteroventral and anteromedial parts of
the anterior nuclear complex showed that the NRT input is distributed
diffusely and in equal proportion to the dendrites of projection and
local circuit neurons.
