Abstract
We have studied the survival probability f(N, R) of an N-step square l attice self-avoiding walk (SAW), with one end at the centre of an abso rbing circular cavity of size R. Our numerical results clearly indicat e that the form of f(N, R) depends on the method by which the survivin g SAW are generated.
