We report a 10-year-old boy who presented with a subarachnoid haemorrh
age from a ruptured hypoglossal artery aneurysm. The aneurysm was clip
ped via a transcondylar approach. The embryology, occurrence and surgi
cal approach to aneurysms at this site are discussed.
