Abstract
Based on the critique of a work purporting to be a balance sheet of th e research concerning the relationship between women's work and the fa mily, this article examines the political and sociological conceptions of this relationship which underlies the ways of linking it to the op position between feminism and ''familyism'', itself an aspect of the i ndividual/society debate.
