ASSESSING AND COUNSELING TRAINEES

Increasing attention to the training of junior doctors and the changes in career structure outlined in the Calman Report make effective asse ssment and counselling of trainees in medicine essential. A conference held at the Royal College of Physicians on 5 October 1994 considered some of the problems and practicalities of incorporating such developm ents into new training programmes.
