Various derived parameters like acoustic impedance (Z), adiabatic comp
ressibility (K(s)), free length (L(f)),, molar sound velocity (R), fre
e volume (V(f)), Wada's constant (W), relative association (R.A.) and
surface tension (S) in binary solvent mixtures of acetonitrile (AN) an
d propylene carbonate (PC) have been reported at 25, 35 and 45-degrees
-C. Non-linear dependence of these acoustic parameters and the excess
functions like Z(E), L(f)E and V(f)E as a function of solvent composit
ion and temperature is attributed to the existence of dipolar interact
ions between the solvent components in AN-PC mixtures.
