Abstract
The segmental bidentate-tridentate ligand L(2) reacts with Ln(III) and Zn-II in acetonitrile to give the first self-assembled heterodinuclea r d-f triple-helical complexes [LnZn(L(2))(3)](5+) (Ln = La, Eu), as d etermined from solution-phase studies.
