Catalytic pyrolysis for the production of liquids and gases from acidi
c precipated of black liquor was carried out by using CaO and CuCO3.Cu
(OH)2 catalysts. This process has been studied in the temperature rang
e from 463 to 570 K. Pyrolysis of black liquor in the temperature rang
e 463-570 K gave yields which increased from 25.9 to 29.0% as the cata
lyst percentages was increased from 5 to 20% for CaO. Under the same c
onditions, the yields of pyrolysis increased from 25.5 to 28.3 for CuC
O3.Cu(OH)2.
