Abstract
Ruthenocene, like ferrocene, reacts with (Ph(3)PAu)(3)O+BF4- to afford a gem-diaurated derivative CpRuC(5)H(4)(AuPPh(3))(2) (BF4-)-B-+, whic h is converted into CpRuC(5)H(4)AuPPh(3) when treated with PPh(3). X-r ay structural analysis revealed substantial Ru-Au interaction in the d iaurated derivative.
