Abstract
We explore the possibility of deriving model independent limits on the anomalous trilinear electroweak gauge boson couplings from high energ y e(+)e(-) --> W+W-, by combining the cross sections for the different initial and final state polarizations integrated with suitable kinema tical cuts. In the case of CP conserving couplings the limits can be d isentangled, and are given by simple mathematical expressions. Numeric al results show the advantages of this approach, in particular the imp ortant role of polarization in improving the bounds.
