Abstract
An electrical thermal atomiser is proposed that also excites, by means of an electric discharge, the vapor of sample material. The device en ables the analysis of transitions whose lower level is higher than the ground level. The spectrometer offers the possibility of intra-cavity laser spectrometry of several elements at a, time. The technique can detect lead and manganese at the maximum contaminant level.
