Abstract
The lateral growth rates of (111) and (100) surfaces of nearly spheric al micronsize Ph crystals ale studied as a function of temperature bet ween 370 and 598 K by in situ UHV scanning electron microscopy. The ra tio of the growth rates shows an unusual temperature dependence which is discussed in terms of the surface kinetics and the surface energies of the two surfaces.
