Abstract
Samarium enters CsCl crystals at very low concentrations and is presen t partially in both divalent and trivalent states. The TL emission of CsCl:Sm crystals is due to the F center electron - V center recombinat ion and the excited Sm2+ ions. The fluorescence emission shows the pre sence of OH- ions in these crystals.
