Abstract
An introductory laboratory about bifurcations and chaos in electrical power systems is proposed to students in final year of electrical engi neering. They learn the basic principles of the related new theories o n stability and realise simple circuits that exhibit puzzling effects like ferroresonance, subharmonics and chaos.
