Sv. Sorokin, ANALYSIS OF VIBRATIONS OF A SPATIAL ACOUSTIC SYSTEM BY THE BOUNDARY INTEGRAL-EQUATIONS METHOD, Journal of sound and vibration, 180(4), 1995, pp. 657-667
A coupled structural-acoustical problem of vibrations for the spatial
acoustic system is considered. The acoustic system is a rectangular bo
x consisting of elastic plates. The interactions between the structure
and the acoustic media both inside and outside of the structure are t
aken into account. One of the plates consists of two parts: an annular
plate and a circular one, which is inserted in the hole. This structu
re is a simplified model of an audio system consisting of several loud
speakers mounted on the lateral surface of a rectangular thin-walled b
ox. The loudspeaker, typically consisting of a conical shell of variab
le thickness with electromagnet attached to the shell, is modeled by a
thin plate of a uniform thickness. The two level system of boundary i
ntegral equations is formulated and a numerical analysis of the vibrat
ions excited by the load applied to the circular plate is performed.
