Abstract
(-)-Neplanocin A, a naturally occurring carbocyclic nucleoside was syn thesized via C-H insertion reaction of the alkylidenecarbene, which wa s generated by the reaction of lithiothrimethylsilyldiazomethane and t he ketone derived from D-ribose.
