Abstract
A case of a carcinoma-in-situ developing in a lateral cervical cyst (b ranchiogenic carcinoma) is described and compared with metastatic cerv ical lymph nodes (due to cancers from unknown primary sites). The auth ors are convinced that branchial carcinomas do exist, but are extremel y rare. The available literature is reviewed.
