Communication: Nanoporous structures containing dye molecules have bee
n found to have interesting nonlinear optical properties. The various
methods used for the incorporation of the guests in the host lattice r
esult in very different positioning of the guests relative to the host
structure. Here, these methods are compared for the incorporation of
Methylene Blue at crystallographically, non-random, positions. The pro
cesses are examined using X-ray diffraction and Rietveld analysis.
