Abstract
Thin films and liposomes composed of polydiacetylenes with biologicall y active head groups have potential applications in cell adhesion, the rapeutics, and biological sensing due to the specific interactions bet ween the functionalized head groups and, for example, virus particles. The synthesis and the applications of these assemblies are discussed.
