The H2S and sulphides removal from the waste waters is a very importan
t issue due to high sulphur (3-5%) content oil used as raw material. F
ollowing the physico-chemical treatment, the final treatment unit gets
high S2- content waste waters (i.e. 10-20 mg/L as compared to 1 mg/L
as provided). This paper presents the experimental studies meant at re
moving this impurifying matter by activated sludge - biochemical treat
ment. The importance of the analytical control in optimizing the pollu
ted waters biochemical treatment industrial process is evidentiated.
