Gs. Georgiev et Ig. Dakova, INFLUENCE OF METHACRYLIC-ACID DIMERIZATION ON THE CONFIGURATIONAL ANDCOMPOSITIONAL TRIAD SEQUENCES IN METHACRYLIC-ACID METHYL-METHACRYLATECOPOLYMERS, European Polymer Journal, 31(3), 1995, pp. 305-307
The influence of methacrylic acid (A) dimerization in toluene on its c
opolymerization with methyl methacrylate (B) was studied. it was estab
lished that as a result of this influence the dependence of the config
urational triad mole fraction on the monomer feed is non-linear, r(A)=
1.05+/-0.03, r(B)=0.05+/-0.02 and the experimental values of the alter
nating ABA and BAB compositional triads are rather smaller than those
calculated by the terminal model which does not take account of the di
mer participation in the chain propagation.
