Abstract
The reaction between BiCl3 and 3 equivalents of Li[NHR] (R = 2,6-Me(2) C(6)H(3)) afforded the trinuclear bismuth imidoamide species [Bi-3(mu- NR)(4)(NHR)] whilst BiPh(3) and 3 equivalents of the alcohol HOR' (R' = 2,6-Cl2C6H3) gave the hexanuclear oxoalkoxide compound [Bi-6(mu(3)-O )(3)-(mu-OR)(7)(OR)(5)] both of which have been characterised by X-ray crystallography.
