An examination has been made of different variants of the direct oxida
tion of 3-methylbut-1-ene by atmospheric oxygen in the liquid phase. T
he most promising of the variants examined for the oxidation of this a
lpha-isoamylene is direct oxidation in the presence of a bimetallic ca
talytic system. Target products were isolated from the oxidate - 3-met
hylbut-1-ene oxide and dimethylvinylcarbinol of sufficient purity.
