Cs. Sung et Sk. Lim, A PROJECT ACTIVITY SCHEDULING PROBLEM WITH NET PRESENT VALUE MEASURE, International journal of production economics, 37(2-3), 1994, pp. 177-187
This paper considers an activity scheduling problem for a project wher
e cash inflows and outflows are given and availability restrictions ar
e imposed on capital and renewable resources. The objective of the pro
blem is to maximize the net present value of the project. Resource-dur
ation interactions are considered in analyzing the problem. A two-phas
e heuristic solution algorithm is exploited and tested with various nu
merical problems for its effectiveness and efficiency.
