Da. Andrusenko et al., THE PHOTOACOUSTIC EFFECT IN THE REGION OF PHASE-TRANSITION IN SBCL5-INTERCALATED GRAPHITE, Acoustical physics, 43(1), 1997, pp. 6-9
The temperature dependence of the photoacoustic signal was studied in
SbCl5-intercalated graphites characterized by different degrees of ord
ering. The measurements were based on piezoelectric photoacoustic dete
ction. In the temperature range 200-220 K corresponding to a structura
l phase transition in intercalated layers, the amplitude and phase shi
ft of the photoacoustic signal reached their maximum values. The incre
ase in the photoacoustic amplitude was attributed to the change in the
sample volume that occurs in the course of the phase transition.
