Microstrip resonator with rectangular conducting patch has been analys
ed by finit element method. Keeping its bottom line fixed, the upper t
op line is shifted to the different positions for shear deformation. T
he resonant frequencies are obtained by running finite element program
e, and are represented graphically. It has been found that some states
are degenerate and some are not. Again for more deformation, decrease
in the fundamental frequency is obtained.
