Abstract
Reaction of N-protected 4-piperidones with sulfur and cyanacetamide ga ve thieno[2,3-c] pyridine derivatives which were cyclized to tetrahydr o-pyrido[4',3':4,5]thieno[2,3-d] pyrimidines. Subsequently the pyrido moiety of these products was aromatized. The products thus obtained we re used to prepare pyrido[4',3' :4,5]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine-4-amines.
