Abstract
An approach for designing a shop floor control system is proposed in t his paper, In this approach, the IDEF(0) model, Biemans' model, and th e Philips' CAM model are three major technologies used for determining the control request, control classification, and the control allocati on. This approach has further been applied to propose a real shop floo r control system in Taiwan, whose discussion is presented at the end.
