M. Oki et T. Onai, SIMULATION OF LUMINOUS ENVIRONMENT IN INTERIOR WITH WINDOWS BY PERSONAL-COMPUTER, Computers & industrial engineering, 27(1-4), 1994, pp. 301-304
Distributions of daylight factor in interior were calculated based upo
n the Mean Sky in several rooms with windows facing several orientatio
ns by using a simulation. The calculated daylight factor distributions
were displayed on CRT. The orientations of windows and the shape of i
so-daylight factor curves were examined by those kinds of figures. Day
light factor distributions in several rooms of actual dwelling house w
ere measured and calculated at the same rooms, and the calculated and
the measured daylight factors were compared and investigated. As the r
esults of the investigation, it was cleared that the simulation was us
eful for an estimation of luminous environment in interior at design s
tage of the building under the conditions of various orientations of w
indows.
