In the presence of mercaptobenzoxazole (MBO) the nickel or a part of i
t is discharged at more positive values of potentials than those in ac
idic or ammonia buffer solutions in absence of additives, owing to the
formation of Ni-MBO complexes. At the same time, two catalytic hydrog
en waves in form of humps are formed. The effect of several parameters
on these waves was studied.
