Abstract
This work investigates the arbitrary incidence on spherical surfaces a nd curved gratings in classical mounting. We show that optical process es involving sudden changes in beams' direction through any optical pr ocess can be described by direct use of ''half-process'' matrices. Arb itrary incidence involves a new basic matrix connected to distortion, variable convergence and nonlocal operation.
