Results of probe electric-potential measurements in a glow discharge i
n air flow are presented. A simplified four-component scheme for solvi
ng a spatially nonuniform problem was developed, based on the detailed
analysis of plasmochemical processes in dry air glow discharge at nea
r-atmospheric pressure. The computation data was compared with the res
ults of probe measurements of the electric potential distribution with
in a discharge gap. The results of electric current density measuremen
ts were also analyzed. A reasonable agreement of the computer data and
experimental results was found in most parts of the discharge volume.
