Abstract
Spillover of hydrogen in Pt/ZnO is studied by measuring conductance of semiconductor sensors in the presence of water and alcohol vapors. Th e sensor conductance is found to increase sharply at low solvent press ures and to decrease significantly with increasing pressure. The effec ts observed are interpreted from the standpoint of accelerating the tr ansfer of atomic hydrogen by solvation and desolvation of a proton.
