Abstract
The ''ALMAZ'' installation is described for high pressure X-ray struct ural and atomic spectral research, which is now under construction at the Kurchatov institute Synchrotron Radiation Source. The results of t he first X-ray diffraction experiments with a high pressure cell produ ced for this installation are presented.
