Experimental regularities describing interdiffusion in systems with li
mited and complete compatibility of the components are presented. For
these systems, general and specific features of the dependences of int
erdiffusion coefficient on temperature and concentration are discussed
. The role of thermodynamic nonideality of solutions in mass transfer
processes is disclosed. Within the frameworks of various models, the e
ffect of molecular mass of the diffusing compound is analyzed. The par
ameters of equations relating the rate of diffusion to molecular mass,
molar volume, and number of repeat units in the molecule of diffusing
compunds are examined as functions of composition and temperature.
