Orientation drawing of polyolefins is accompanied by a partial disenta
nglement of joints between polymer chains. On further polymer melting,
these joints, which are the sites of sorption of low-molecular-mass c
ompounds, do not recover, and as a result solubility of these compound
s in polymers tend to decrease.
