Abstract
Mass-scale monitoring of Ca and Mg in nonsalined Chernozem soils was s hown feasible in soil samples treated two or four times with 1 N KCl ( soil/solution ratio of 1:50 or 1:20, respectively). The water-saline e xtracts can be used for monitoring Ca and Mg in gypsiferous soils.
