Abstract
In this paper, the rate of thermal decomposition of azobisisobutyronit rile (AIBN) in a liquid paraffin was measured. at 363 K wherein AIBN p article was not completely dissolved and decomposed at the early stage s of overall decomposition process. A kinetic model was proposed to de scribe the decomposition process of AIBN before complete dissolution. The influence of the catalyst SnCl4 on AIBN decomposition in heterogen eous media was also investigated.
