Polycondensation of (3-aminopropyl)trimethoxysilane and ((trimethoxysi
lyl)propyl)diethylenetriamine in methanol was studied using Si-29 NMR
spectroscopy, small-angle X-ray scattering, and viscosity measurements
. Calculations based on Si-29 NMR data show a cluster-cluster growth m
echanism is present. Differences in reactivity and in the structures o
btained will be discussed.
