The previously proposed simulation model for the heat-conditioning of
frozen and nonfrozen logs was tested with experimental data from heati
ng to pine logs of various lengh-to-diameter ratios. These simulations
fitted the experimental results best when a longitudinal-to-radial co
nductivity (diffusivity) ratio of 2.5 was used as input data, both for
frozen and nonfrozen logs, respectively. Simulated data were within /- 10 percent of experimental results.
